RT8059为高效率脉波宽度调变(PWM)的降压型 DC/DC 转换器。输入范围2.8V 至5.5V时,输出电流可达1A。RT8059适用于由单一锂电池供电的可携式电子装置,例如移动电话、PDA与掌上型装置。内部的低RDS(ON)同步整流组件降低了操作在PWM模式的的导通损耗,且不需外加萧特基二极管于实际设计中。当电感电流降低进入PWM不连续导通模式时,RT8059自动关闭同步整流开关以增加在轻载情形的效率。当PWM操作时无法藉由连续导通上端P-MOSFET来调节输出电压至设定的稳定值时,RT8059进入低压降模式。当EN脚位为低电位时,进入关机模式,消耗电流小于0.1μA。由于操作在恒定频率1.5MHz,可由较小封装的组件进行滤波设计得到较平滑的切换纹波。采用TSOT-23-5的小型封装可应用于较小的PCB面积设计中。其它的特色中包括缓启动、具2%精确率的内部低参考电压、过热保护与过电流保护等机制。
